The goal of this video was to showcase the experience of members during an outdoor boot camp with Lizzie. I wanted to capture the real emotions behind the scenes, allowing the audience to connect with the experience and understand how the service could benefit them.
Client testimonial videos are a powerful tool for building trust, as people are more likely to buy from those they trust. It's like a review board where future customers can get a feel for the brand. I prefer to have conversations with clients instead of asking set questions. This way, I get a range of responses and can guide them to the topics I want, while capturing honest, heartfelt answers.
I filmed the boot camp by mixing candid moments, members in action, and Lizzie's personality as a coach. A great video should connect with the audience on a personal level while showcasing the brand’s values. It should also answer common customer questions, like:
Where will your boot camp be held?
Can anyone join the class, or do you need to be fit?
What is the maximum capacity per class?
What can I expect from the sessions?
However, as easy as it may sound, aligning the right questions with the interview is just as important. There’s a significant difference in the outcome when you ask questions like a checklist versus having a real conversation. Sometimes, people aren’t comfortable in front of the camera — which is why warming them up, getting to know them, or even having an unexpected, lighthearted chat can make all the difference.
We want to connect with the brand on a human level and build trust, and that starts by showing people genuinely sharing their thoughts. That’s why I always choose to go the extra mile — by getting to know the people I’m interviewing before anything else.
