Shades of Femininity, led by photographer Lilia Omietonska, isn’t just about taking portraits—it’s about creating an experience that makes clients feel seen, comfortable, and empowered. This film was made to help future clients feel reassured and connected before they even step into the studio.
Rather than telling viewers what Lilia is like, we focused on showing it. Using a documentary-style, observational approach, we followed a real photography session, capturing the small, candid moments of encouragement and connection that can’t be scripted. At the end, Lilia shared her story in her own words, adding a personal touch that reinforced her authenticity.
By letting the audience witness her process and personality, the video builds trust, showing that a portrait session isn’t just about the final images—it’s about how it feels to be in her care. Subtle cinematic touches elevate the experience while keeping it true to her style.
The project reminded me why this approach works: people connect with real experiences, not polished statements. Showing Lilia in action creates a human connection that resonates far more deeply than words alone, helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and excited to engage.
