The team at Speedcast continues to impress me with their quirks, knowledge, team spirit, and events. Today marks the third event I’ve worked on with them in Singapore, capturing photos and videos and transforming them into long-term marketing materials.

What made this event special was their use of a live demo truck. Yes, a full-fledged, transformer-looking truck with everything built inside. Something spectacular, something I had never seen before. In addition to that, there was a coffee and ice cream booth set up side by side, just outside the truck. Wow. I mean, wow.

I met up with the team a few days earlier to film the truck’s arrival and how it was set up. In situations like these, it’s important to document every step along the way because audiences are always intrigued by what happens behind the scenes — the dedication, planning, and teamwork that make everything work. To be honest, it was mesmerising to witness a truck transform into a stage.

I created a fast-paced video that captured everything from start to finish: glimpses of meetings, people, visitors, and live demos in action — all shown in flashes so as not to bore the audience. With so much happening during a live demo session, filming more clips becomes important because of the fast-paced style I intended to create.

I paired everything with an upbeat, funky tune to elevate the energy and, in short, make it fun. Speedcast is a professional team of industry experts who can be fun at the same time.

Next came interviews, interviews, and more interviews — filmed to narrate over the video, once again creating human connection and showing the faces behind the brand.

At the end of the day, it was an incredibly fruitful event.

Concerns about the rain slowly faded away as the weather seemed to favour us. People came pouring in — new visitors, curious visitors, and random new friends who simply wanted a sip of coffee and a scoop of ice cream.

But there was a catch.

You want free coffee and ice cream? Let us show you what Speedcast is all about — take the tour!

I know, it may seem cruel at first. I mean, I just want coffee, man. Not a tour! But too bad. In fact, many visitors became curious about the services Speedcast provides, and it turned into a full-on educational tour with desserts.

In events like these, the most important thing I remind myself is: how can I document today in a way that speaks for itself? How can I produce content that shows potential clients, friends, and partners what Speedcast does outside of their “routine” work schedule — the extra effort and service they provide to everyone?

It has to have human connection.

And that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s to the team at Speedcast — thank you for having me back for the third time, and here’s to many more.

Thanks for reading!
